Dear Alan, Kelly, and Aaron, 

Barb and I wanted to express our gratitude to The Norman House LLC for all of your efforts to give us exceptional cabinets. From the beginning, we wanted to have the cabinet work stand out in our house. We feel it is the touch that lets you appreciate the invested value in a project. 

The early enthusiasm and advice were so much appreciated. Your help with design ideas, wood choices, and finishes really helped us hit the target. We really appreciated you going the extra mile in making sure we had the exact finish on our cherry cabinets. 

The extra care you showed in coordinating with the countertops and electrical really paid off. The countertops all fit, electrical outlets and switches were properly located, and the under-cabinet lighting really helps with my vision. The matching mirrors integrated nicely with the countertops. 

Your attention to detail, construction, installation, and fit must be unmatched in your industry. A little patience in timing was worth the finished product. Visitors to our house marvel at our “hidden pantry”, with the doors looking every bit like an extension of the cabinets. 

You are welcome to use us as a reference any time. 

We met Alan and Kelly Norman through our builder at the Coves. We didn’t have any specific plans for our cabinet needs. We told Alan that our house is his “canvas”. He asked some questions and suggested some ideas – he asked my wife if she would like a hutch! Well of course she did and from there Alan created a stunning piece made of Tiger Maple (upper) and antique (lower) with solid tiger maple draws, all dove tailed. He even went out of his way to search out 140 year old glass and had it cut to fit the upper doors! The upper doors have custom pulls that completes its design. To this day that piece is the center point of our open floor plan kitchen. Everyone who visits us is drawn to that piece.  He also created a very functional kitchen environment with pullout shelves, ample storage space and tastefully designed cabinetry with custom full length doors for the walk-in pantry. He also designed a “drop zone” piece for the mud/laundry room… In all he did two kitchens and three bathroom cabinetry designs for us, all custom. The building process in general can be a stressful one. Working with Alan and Kelly at the Norman House made that process fun. Alan is a talented wood worker who enjoys the process of creating one-of-a-kind designs. Every piece he’s done for us has a story – and we like that.

This is our review and praise for the beautiful cabinets created by The Norman House in Morganton, NC.
We we had our builder recommend The Norman House to us for our Kitchen and bathroom cabinets.
We visited and and met Alan and Aaron at the The Norman House shop and witnessed, first hand, the craftsmanship and quality
that went into Norman House cabinets.  We also visiting 3 other homes in various stages of construction gave us more exposure to The Norman House cabinet designs, woods and installations.  Folks, real world craftsmanship, build quality and finishing is still alive and well in western N.C..  Alan, Aaron and Kelly are a talented team whose finished product is world class.  Alan spent time going over our design and wishes, showed us a good variety
of different exotic woods to choose from and offered useful suggestions making our Rustic Alder final cabinets perfect for us.  Great communication and
a warm enthusiastic attitude was a bonus that is so lacking in today’s business culture.   I can’t overstate the build quality of The Norman House’s finished product.
If you are fortunate enough to have your cabinets created by Alan and his team, you won’t be disappointed.

The Norman House did an incredible job on all of our cabinets, fireplace mantles, and furniture.  They take great pride in everything they make with amazing attention to detail and precision.  They built our kitchen cabinets/islands, bar cabinets, six bathroom vanities, three fireplace mantles, and a four bed bunk bed.  We were extremely impressed with ALL of it.  Well built construction that will last a lifetime.

With all of the decisions to make when building a custom home, it was an easy decision to choose The Norman House for our cabinets. Alan, Aaron and Kelly are amazing and we could’nt be more pleased with the end result. We started with pictures, and were given ideas and suggestions by the team. Their knowledge, craftsmanship and attention to detail is unmatched. It was a pleasure to work with them.

Our builder recommended The Norman House LLC, to build custom cabinets for the kitchen and bathrooms in our new house. My husband and I anticipated designing custom kitchen and bathroom cabinets from a thousand miles away would be a big challenge. Alan Norman and his family made it super easy.
Other than knowing that I wanted blue cabinets in the kitchen, a couple of glass cabinets, and potentially some open shelving, we had no other ideas. We met Alan and his son at our house. They had already been there several times to do reconnaissance and put together some ideas for us. They had marked out where they recommended the lower cabinets, appliances, and island be positioned. It was super helpful since the space was a blank slate, and my husband and I felt overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start. We spent over an hour looking at the space and throwing around possibilities.
Alan, his wife Kelly, and his son Aaron made several recommendations, including a custom-built cabinet to house the coffee maker. Honestly, it all sounded fantastic, and by the time we left, we had designed a completely custom kitchen, including a bridge with open shelves that spanned the large kitchen window. We discussed under-counter lighting and fantastic options I didn’t know existed. My husband and I flew home and thought the kitchen would break our budget, so we prepared to cut back on some options once we received the estimate. Happily, the estimate was more than reasonable for all the custom touches. We decided to go ahead with everything.
The whole process was seamless. Alan and Aaron worked directly with the project manager at our property to complete everything. He sent pictures throughout the process and called several with updates. The kitchen has surpassed our expectations, and we highly recommend The Norman House, LLC.
